Project Description:
We are looking for friends, families, students, groups and so on to help us register runners, cheer on runners, pass out water, keep runners on track and direct traffic. This is going to be a large family orientated walk/run,taking place on Thanksgiving morning to benefit the Food Bank of Yolo County and their mission to alleviate hunger and malnutrition in Yolo County. This volunteer opportunity is from 6:30 am - 12:00 pm, November 22 at Heritage Plaza in Downtown Woodland and has a volunteer cap of 200.

Project Description:
We are desperate for drivers and runners in both Woodland and West Sacramento areas. Volunteers would use their own car to pick up and deliver meals to home bound seniors from the local senior center sites. Opportunities are for Mon - Fri, between 10:30am and 12:15pm. A one day a week commitment, once a month or whatever your schedule allows. We also need kitchen aides at the Woodland senior center site. Opportunities are for Mon - Fri, between 9am and 12:30pm, as often as your schedule allows.

Other Special Needs or Requirements: Must provide transportation, and a copy of driver’s license and car insurance card. Neat and clean appearance and high level of personal hygiene. An application and orientation is provided by the Volunteer Coordinator. Two people per route are recommended as solo drivers who do their own running need a background check.
