In the wake of Hurricane Sandy, millions of children and adults are now in crisis mode with no power, no access to food, and no shelter. United Way of New York City has established the United Way Hurricane Sandy Recovery Fund to provide relief to those in need in Connecticut, Delaware, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Virginia, Washington, DC and West Virginia.
Please visit UWSandyRecovery.org to donate to the Fund. You can also use your phone to text RECOVERY to 52000 to make a $10 donation.
If you have family, friends, loved ones in the disaster areas, let them know about 211. It's an excellent resource to get help. Visit 211us.org for more information.
