2011 LIVE UNITED Golf Classic and Campaign Kick Off
Woodland United Way held its 2nd Annual LIVE UNITED Golf Classic on Thursday, September 15th, 2011, at Wild Wings Golf Course. Community members enjoyed wonderful weather as they displayed their support for Woodland United Way and nonprofits in our community by playing golf. Chuck Santoni, Charley Santoni, Mike Marshall and Brian Armstrong took first place in the tournament, while Marcus Ullrich, Todd Tommeraason, George Burger, and Chris Nicholson made up the second place foursome. Tabb Randolph won the longest drive competition as well as the closest to the pin contest. Following the tournament, Woodland United Way hosted its annual Campaign Kick Off at Wild Wings Golf Course. Sixty-eight attendees enjoyed dinner catered by The Nest at Wild Wings as Woodland United Way’s Campaign Chair, Kris Kristensen shared Woodland United Way’s goal of $260,000 for the 2011-2012 campaign season. Golf Tournament Chair, Kevin Hoppin, then announced the winners of the golf tournament, and Woodland United Way Board President, Rick Sander, announced raffle winners. Raffle and tournament prizes were generously donated by True Value, JC Penney, Costco, Yolo Fliers Club, Wild Wings Golf Course, Walmart, Edward Jones, Silvina’s Basket, Savory Café, Main Street Café, Ludy’s Main St. BBQ, Nugget Market, The Cookie Company and Van Beurden Insurance.
